Howard Perkins lives in Bardstown, KY with his wife, Donna. Together with Donna's parents, Ray and Wanda Corum, they raise Walking horses. Originally from Chicago, Howard has lived in Kentucky for 20 plus years now. In 1990 Howard discovered both Bluegrass music and the banjo. Since then he has played in several Bluegrass bands. He presently fronts his own band, H. Perkins Bluegrass. Donna has also joined the band playing the bass fiddle.
Howard has had a local bluegrass radio show for two years now on WBRT, 1320am, in Bardstown. |
