Gary is a native of Hampton, Virginia and was raised around traditional
country music. His house was always filled with those "ol' time" tunes
played by his father. Gary is the father of three grown children and
grandfather to three little ones, with another grandchild on the way. His
Bluegrass music interests peaked as he and a friend began to travel to
Bluegrass Festivals and they eventually co-developed a web site for
Virginia Bluegrass music lovers. This web site venture has allowed him to
personally meet numerous Bluegrass celebrities and Gary interviews many of
them for his "Person In Profile" section at www.VaBluegrass.com. He has
always loved the sub-genre of Gospel Bluegrass with its upbeat tempo and
uplifting words. Gary's physical Bluegrass musical abilities are sort of
limited to: a Bluegrass music DJ at WorldWideBluegrass.com; a wannabe
banjo picker and; an enthusiastic Bluegrass music listener. He excels at
listening to Gospel Bluegrass and Bluegrass music! Hearing his Bluegrass
program "Up on a Hill" on Sunday, 7am-9am will help you better
understand his passionate Bluegrass selections! |
