Show: Deacon Ray's Gospel Grass Cafe Saturday 11pm-1am EDT
Description: Born in the Bluegrass territory of Morgantown, West Virginia, and now
residing in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania, Ray has wandered through a number of
music genres, but has always had a passion for returning to Bluegrass
music. As a Pastor's kid, Ray has been involved in the church from an
early age. Ray finally began to answer a calling from God, which has
moved him into a Bluegrass Ministry as a vocalist and mandolin player, in
a Bluegrass Gospel group called Glory Bound. Following in the footsteps
of his grandfather, father and many uncles Ray now works in a coal mine as
a mechanic/electrician. It has been a great career for Ray as well as the
rest of his family. As his father was a child, Ray's grandfather owned
and operated his own coal mine that later employed Ray's father. So coal
has been in the blood for a really long time. It is a tradition that Ray
has kept alive. Ray is husband to a great Godly woman, whom he dearly
loves. They are blessed with two wonderful children. It is a privilege
to have an unconditionally encouraging family to provide positive support,
when many others think it is crazy to do what seems, to them, to be
impossible. But, all things are possible through Christ, Jesus, and His
Father, God. St. Mark 10:27 - "And Jesus looking upon them saith, with
men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are
possible." "Deacon Ray's Gospel Grass Café" is open to serve up a heaping
helping of Bluegrass music. Please accept that your personal presence is
cordially requested during "Deacon Ray's Gospel Grass Café" on World Wide
Bluegrass. |
