Biography:
Sammie was born and raised in Seattle WA. An imaginative child, her parents instilled the love of writing at an early age to keep her occupied during the long summer months, encouraging her to write a short story ever day. Through the years her passion of writing has kept her busy with short stories, plays and has even published a few poems. Currently she is working on a romance novel, and hopes to have it published in the next year or so. Growing up mostly on classic rock and country music she attended her first bluegrass festival with her grandfather in 2006. Included in the Darrington Bluegrass Festival line up was Doyle Lawson & Quicksliver, Cherryholmes Family, Continental Divde and many others. She walked away from day with a new love of all things Bluegrass (and a crush on Jamie Dailey). Feeling disappointed with the trend toward country music, she began seeking a social network for Bluegrassers. Doing a random search online, she stumbled upon the WWB, and has been hooked ever since! In her spare time you can find her at Festivals and Jams spreading the word about the WWB, trying her hand at guitar pickin, or tapping away on her laptop (either writing stories or cutting up with the WWB chatters). |
