Description:
Kassie was born Katherine Virginia Wesley in Morganfield, Kentucky. Kassie has two older brothers and a younger sister. Kassie says the biggest influences on her life growing up were her parents. Kassie is very proud of her Kentucky roots. After graduating from Union County High School, Kassie went to Indiana University. During her freshman and sophomore years, Kassie worked at Nashville, Tennessee's Opryland as a singer. At the age of 18, Kassie debuted as a soloist at the legendary Grand Ole Opry, performing two song, "You Ain't Woman Enough to Take My Man" and "Satin Sheets." What Kassie remembers most about singing at the Opry was being really nervous, and thinking it was the biggest day of her life. Kassie left Indiana University to go to UCLA to study theater. While Kassie was attending UCLA, she joined a four-part harmony band called Newport, which performed in the Los Angeles, San Diego, and Las Vegas areas. Kassie sang backup for soul singer Bobby Womack during two US and one Great Britain tour. Kassie also sang backup on one album. Kassie joined the cast of One Life To Live where she met, fell in love with, and married her costar James DePaiva (Max, OLTL). They were married at the county court house in Kassie's hometown of Morganfield, Kentucky. On May 12, 1997, Kassie and James had a son. They named him James Quentin after his father and Kassie's father, Quentin. During a slow period for her character, Kassie recorded her debut CD, Naked. Kassie released her new CD, No Regrets and is selling it online. She recorded it in Nashville, after meeting a fan, Liz Morrin a very well known figure in Nashville's music community. Kassie is very excited about the way it came out and is anxious to let fans hear it.
