Description: Once upon a time, many years ago in the early 1950's, in three very divergent parts of the country, three lovely young ladies each gave birth to a bouncing baby boy. These mothers were filled with joy and hope for the future for their young offspring. But in 2002, these mothers' hopes were dashed when the grown boyz converged together to form an alliance. There was much consternation from all corners as this axis of goobers became The Fabulous Bagasse Boyz. Hans "Fritz" Mayers on banjo and mandolin, Willi Sager on bass and Rex Hall on guitar came together with the sole purpose of humiliating the musical world with their slip-shod musicianship and annoying arrangements. This was their destiny. De deh deeeeeeeeee! Spring Has Sprung!
Some of The Bagasse Boyz influences are The 3 'P's: Perfume, prison, and beef jerky. Yoo hoo, mister . . . new in town? Bill Monroe, Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs, George Gershwin, Alan Munde, The Highwoods String Band, Blue Highway, Mo Town, The Turtles, Country Gazette, Old and In The Way, The Lonesome River Band, The Freight Hoppers, The Cane Grinders, The Fabulous Bagasse Boyz [YES, we influence ourselves......is that too hard to believe HAHAHA], New Found Road, The Nashville Bluegrass Band, Hannah Barbera, The Kentucky Colonels, The Stanley Brothers, James King, Terry Baucom, The Mills Brothers and many many more.
